• 소개 및 적용: Fosamprenavir calcium is a water-soluble prodrug of the HIV protease inhibitor amprenavir, used in combination with other antiretroviral agents for the oral treatment of HIV infection in adult and pediatric patients. It has improved solubility compared to amprenavir, allowing for more convenient dosing and fewer pills. Fosamprenavir is rapidly hydrolyzed to amprenavir in the gut epithelium, with a peak plasma concentration time of 2.5 hours and a plasma elimination half-life of 7.7 hours. The drug is primarily metabolized in the liver by CYP3A4, and its most common adverse events include diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, headache, and rash. Fosamprenavir is usually administered at daily doses of 700-1400 mg with ritonavir, and monotherapy is only recommended for antiretroviral therapy-naive patients with a dosing regimen of 1400 mg twice daily.
