• 소개 및 적용: Cinnamycin (lanthiopeptin) is a tricyclic antibiotic produced by Streptoverticillium species and acts as an indirect inhibitor of phospholipase A2 by sequestering phosphatidylethanolamine (PE) in mammalian plasma cell membranes. It induces trans-bilayer phospholipid movement, exposing internally bound PE, and at high PE concentrations, it causes membrane re-organization, fusion, and alteration of cell morphology. Cinnamycin has been used in cinnamycin sensitivity assays in mouse embryonic fibroblasts (MEFs). The compound is synthesized through proteolytic cleavage from a core peptide and has a compact globular structure.
